Christina Button – Iconic female faces

Christina has some nice looking editorial work and art-directed two magazines during her time at Bournemouth, from which she graduated last year. We bumped into Christina at the Young Creative Council ‘Unite’ event and these pieces really caught our eye.

Christina has overlaid leading ladies from every decade back to the fourties to find the iconic female face from each decade. Not only are the resulting artworks beautifully ghostlike and ethereal but the resemblance to certain people is striking, most interestingly (epecially for SSZ author Andrew who wrote a creepy study on her face) 2010′s resemblance to Natalie Portman. (Try squinting!)
