Mad Skills Monday 034: Madison Shackell-York

Welcome to Mad Skills Monday, where we showcase top work from young creatives to bring some creative inspiration to beat the post-weekend blues. This week we present some inky goodness from the visual creative Madison Shackell-York.

Power tool: Quink with an army of chisel brushes
Power song: Two Weeks by Grizzly Bear
Power snack: The fine combination of chocolate milk and Jaffa cakes

Madison Shackell-York creates illustrations and designs consisting of many layers of colour and texture through various drawing mediums including pencil, ink and woodcuts that are overlaid digitally. This fluid, dreamlike imagery is accompanied by some very smart metaphors to add an even further sense of depth.

Can you really put a price on a vacation?
