Mad Skills Monday 043: Greg Carter

Welcome to Mad Skills Monday, where we showcase top work from young creatives to bring some inspiration to beat the post-weekend blues. Today we have something a little bit different – check out the photorealistic drawings of Greg Carter.

Power tool: Pencils, cotton buds, battery operated eraser and Photoshop
Power song: Any music mashup
Power snack: Fox’s Chunkie Chocolate Chip Cookies

Greg Carter specialises in photorealistic pencil drawings of celebrities and movie characters. Recently his practice has extended into experimenting with his creations on Photoshop to add colour and gradients and thus introduce a greater personal style to the work. To further demonstrate the heavy amount of time and skill put into each piece, Greg has also created time lapse videos showing the process of his drawings coming to life.

When not working on these personal projects, he also directs the illustratons of Loughborough University’s Student Union magazine ‘Label’, where he has created several front covers.
