Welcome to Mad Skills Monday, where we showcase top work from young creatives to bring you some inspiration and beat the post-weekend blues. This week we’re focusing on the lewd, loud and proud illustration of Hannah ‘Bans’ Prebble.
Power Tools: Photoshop, Posca pens and ink
Power Song: Best Friend – Young Thug
Power Snack: Kinder eggs (toys & chocolate is the best situation)
Bans’ ink and digital pieces take the forms of strange creatures, bleeding typography and other bright but morbid imagery. Her influences come from skate and hip-hop culture, as well as anything that is, in her own words, ‘a bit trashy’. Her work often includes feminist themes, along with criticisms of many things wrong with modern society, and it is always unapologetic in nature. To start off, check out her collaborations with comedian Tommy Xpensive and photographer Enam Islam.

Want us to show off your mad skills? We’re always looking for young creatives, students and graduates to showcase for our Monday feature, so send us an email with some samples or a portfolio link with the subject line “Mad Skills Monday” to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll check you out!
