On the 6th of December 2014 the Victoria & Albert Museum opened it’s doors to over 2300 curious and creative young people for their annual Making It event.. and we were there to feast on their brains!
The Making It event is designed to help young people aged 16-24 find out more about working in the creative industries. We partnered with Apple&Ink to run a workshop on Becoming a Young Creative.
Zombies Simon Carr, Phil Smith and Jay Chaudhri worked alongside Apple&Ink to provide creative career advice and support to show people how they can make the most of their talents. We had motivational giveaways, a career quiz, 1-on-1 chats, a zombie drawing area, free SSZ mags and excellent advice, hints, and tips from Apple&Ink.
The attention spans of today’s youth meant we needed sexy visuals to draw people in, and the skilled hands of Jay and Phil didn’t disappoint. Free chocolate partnered with meaningful conversation helped to keep them in, and together we provided young people with a stepping stone on the long and complicated journey to becoming a fully fledged creative.
Big thanks to Apple&Ink for their support and to Laura at the V&A for organising the event. Anyone who met us there and would like to know more about ShellsuitZombie, drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
